Aluminum in UFO Narratives

I've got a new item up in my column about aluminum, ufos, the reflexivity of phenomenon, etc.

"Aluminum & UFOs" is one of the best things I read this week.

Indeed, we should try to follow the little clues left behind by the phenomenon, instead of trying to decipher its Nature. Trying to prove the reality of UFOs might be as pointless—and useful—as trying to reach the other side of the horizon. Pointless, because no matter how far you've gone, it will stubbornly remain forever ahead of you; but useful, because it lures you to keep moving forward.

On other things, I listened your chat with our good friend Greg Bishop in Radio Misterioso, and after hearing your weird encounter with that creepy Mail man that was waiting by your porch in the night with a miner lamp, the first thing that struck me was the somewhat Jungian archetypical image it conveyed (like an emissary from the depths of the subconscious emerging to bring forth a message); so after I thought that I wondered if there was something particularly important among the letters that this person delivered. Maybe something that at the time seemed trivial but in time proved to have a deeper meaning?

Thanks so much for you kind comments, RPJ.
I need to go listen to that interview--I completely forgot I talked about that! Indeed--being so "what-does-it-mean!?" oriented, the actual mail, the 'message' was the first thing I looked to; alas, it was JUNK MAIL! Just fliers and crap and whatnot. Although now, I wish I would have taken even that a bit more literally. Or, maybe junk was the message as well as the medium.
I go to the post office quite a bit, and I did ask the girls there about the experience, directly after. They confirmed that it could be consistent with something that might actually take place. Although it still doesn't account for why he was standing there so long, did not knock, etc.

oh, dear! So the Jungian collective unconscious is not free of SPAM either?? You have got to be kidding me, Universe! ;-)
